This Week in Geek (09/07/15-09/13/15)

Welcome to This Week in Geek, your guide to events of interest to the Minnesota geek community for the week of Monday, September 7th through Sunday, September 13th.

Fearless Lab September Performance: Music!

What: Theater & Comedy
When: Tuesday, September 8th at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Honey

While Fearless Comedy Productions’ artistic director, Tim Wick, provides the disclaimer that a performance in the Fearless Lab series “isn’t always the best show,” “doesn’t take the most work,” and “isn’t the most exotic idea,” what it does give the performers “the stage time they need to get better” and “a chance to try stand-up, storytelling, scriptwriting, and whatever else they want to do,” which is in fitting with the goal of Fearless Comedy Productions, which is “to produce comedy without limits and to help each performer and producer find their unique voice.”

This month’s theme is “Music!,” and the performers—including Kyle Dekker, Chad Dutton, Nathan Gerber, Lauren Haven, Eric Thompson, Annie Wallick, Duck Washington, the aforementioned Tim Wick, and John Gary Youker—invite you to “suck on your reeds and lube your slides” because they will be delivering “hot aural pleasure” in the form of parody songs, stand-up, and musical improv.
