CONvergence is upon us, and of course, Twin Cities Geek is there! We have more going on than ever before—here’s where you can find us this year.
Twin Cities Geek and Fearless Comedy Productions have teamed up again to bring you these nifty badge backers—the perfect thing to hang your ribbons from! Get yours at registration or stop by the Twin Cities Geek fan table outside Mainstage on Thursday or Friday (more on that below) or the Fearless Comedy party room (room 230).
TCG Hydration Challenge
Look for us roaming CONvergence between 8:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights to offer you the Twin Cities Geek Hydration Challenge! Spend at least one minute drinking a full 16-ounce glass of water to earn yourself one of three unique badge ribbons, up to one ribbon per day. Post a selfie of the hydration challenge and tag #TCGh2o and #CVG2017! Staying hydrated and adding to your ribbon collection—it’s a win-win.
Stop by the Twin Cities Geek fan table just outside CONvergence Mainstage (click for maps) on Thursday and Friday starting at 10:00 a.m. Say hi, get yourself a TCG button, or have your photo snapped with our trusty speech-bubble signs!
Twin Cities Geek Roundtable
What do you want in your local geek culture magazine? Join Twin Cities Geek on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to noon in the Sheraton Whalon room for a roundtable discussion and listening session. Tell us what you think a Minnesota geek culture magazine should be, what you want to see more of, or whatever else is on your mind! Editor-in-chief Hal Bichel, senior editor Madeleine Vasaly, and editors and contributors Garrick Dietze, Mariah Kaercher, Rae Black, Sherry Anisi, and Tom “Takeo” Moen will be on the panel (with other contributors in attendance).
Twin Cities Geek headed up the campaign to bring award-winning poet and playwright Saymoukda Vongsay to CONvergence as a 2017 Fan-Featured Guest!
