What: Concert
When: Wednesday, August 1st at 7:00 p.m.

San Francisco–based Deafheaven is on tour again following the July release of Ordinary Corrupt Human LoveCombining black metal, pulsing double bass, and a touch of shoegazing, the band has hit the ground running with some new members and an album that has garnered a great deal of attention for straddling the line between fresh energy and old style. Accompanying Deafhaven on this stop of the tour are Drab Majesty out of Los Angeles, which offers an ambient electronic like Melotron with quiet energy and beautiful stage presence; and New York’s Uniform, which has an upcoming new album called The Long Walk that follows the success of the band’s previous album, which had songs featured in the new Twin Peaks series. Uniform’s electronic format and metal feel like a good bridge between the softer electronics of Drab Majesty and the strong black metal of Deafheaven. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door, and it is an all-ages show!
