How will you be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11? If your plans don’t include checking out a classic, influential, or schlocky sci-fi flick or science doc at the Trylon, you might have to rethink those plans. The Minneapolis theater’s summer-long Magnificent Desolation series is showcasing films that capture the spirit of space travel and exploration.
Some films have already come and gone, but there’s plenty of time to catch a variety of movies, from classics like 2001: A Space Odyssey and Aliens to more obscure titles like the Czech space opera Ikearie XB-1 or the Afrofuturist Space Is the Place. Check out the full lineup on the Trylon’s website here.
