We also regularly partner with local conventions and other events to give away passes and to spread the word about cool things happening in the Minnesota geek community.

Twin Cities Geek Holiday Toy & Book Drive

Since 2015, Twin Cities Geek has organized an annual Holiday Toy & Book Drive benefiting Hallie Q. Brown Community Center in St. Paul and the Women’s Prison Book Project in Minneapolis. To date, the geek community has raised thousands of toys and books for these organizations.

We’re proud to report that each year of our drive, we have had more participating locations and more donations than the year before:

Supporting the Arts

In 2017, Twin Cities Geek rallied the local geek community to sponsor Lao American poet and playwright Saymoukda Vongsay as a fan-featured guest at CONvergence, the largest science-fiction and fantasy convention in the Upper Midwest.
