This fall, the Department of English at the University of Minnesota marks the 200th birthday of Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein with public readings, screenings, and talks exploring many monster creations and honoring the woman who wrote the first ever science fiction novel. The series kicks off Sept 25 with a discussion/screening of favorite fiends of early cinema, including the 1910 and 1931 Frankensteins and the 1922 Nosferatu. [Lind Hall room 207A.
