This fall, the Department of English marks the 200th birthday of Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein with public readings, screenings, and talks exploring many monster creations and honoring the woman who wrote the first ever science fiction novel. The series continues Oct 23 with Twin Cities professional actors exhuming Mary Shelley’s “hideous phantasm of a man” and other 19th-century monster texts.
