Garrick Dietze is a local director, actor, and all-around geek. His last directing efforts for the stage were Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers and the blood-pumping Sweeney Todd for the Chameleon Theatre Circle in Burnsville. Previous on-stage work includes (but is not limited to) Cabaret (Emcee) and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Pseudolus), both with Chameleon. His other regional acting credits include Minneapolis Musical Theatre’s Reefer Madness; Bloomington Civic Theatre’s Urinetown, Fiorello, and City of Angels; and Second Stage’s Titanic. Additional recent directing credits include The 25th Annual County Spelling Bee, Marat/Sade, Suburb: The Musical, and I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.

Garrick is a cross-platform geek. Besides theater, his interests include science fiction, comics (a self-professed Marvel zombie since the original Secret Wars), fantasy, and everything in between. His favorite films include Raiders of the Lost Ark, Ghostbusters, and E.T. His favorite directors include Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch, and Akira Kurosawa. Lastly, his favorite authors include Neil Gaiman, Irvine Welsh, and William Shakespeare.
