Marty Farly’s biggest passions in life are books, sewing, and cheese. Although she began sewing only about three years ago, she became an avid reader at a very young age. She was born in Wisconsin and thus had no choice about the cheese thing.
Some of Marty’s favorite books include the Harry Potter series, The Great Gatsby, and East. When it comes to nonfiction history books, Marty especially enjoys Caesars’ Wives by Annelise Freisenbruch, The Graves are Walking by John Kelly, and pretty much anything nonfiction by Alison Weir.
Having recently discovered a love for costuming, Marty especially loves the Regency and early Tudor periods for historic costuming and is currently having a blast working on a Victorian ball gown.
