Look, up in the sky! It’s a writer! It’s an editor! It’s Sean Patrick Casey!

Yes, it’s Sean Patrick Casey: strange child from Forest Lake, Minnesota, placed in a local comic shop at age eight (following his introduction to comics with 1992’s “The Death of Superman” storyline), and sent hurtling in the direction of comic-book collecting and culture just as the comics industry exploded.

As the years went by and that child grew to maturity, he found himself possessed of a Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art (with a concentration in media studies) from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota; a Master of Science degree in library and information science from St. Catherine University in St. Paul; and a collection of comic books that now numbers in the tens of thousands.

Faster than a speeding bicyclist on a Nice Ride bike, more powerful than the Metro Transit light-rail line, and able to leap tall buildings (like the IDS Center, the Capella Tower, and the Wells Fargo Center) in a single bound, this child of Forest Lake is now the Man of Minneapolis: Sean Patrick Casey!

Sean is the co-creator and co-host of TC Trek Trivia (a Star Trek trivia contest held monthly in Minneapolis) and has performed at the 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival, SEXTRAVAGANZA: The Sex Pun Show!, and Pundamonium: The Twin Cities Pun Slam! (for which he was featured in the Wall Street Journal). Disguised as a mild-mannered library media specialist for a great metropolitan school district, he fights a never-ending battle for Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the Twin Cities Geek way.
