Zachary Svoboda was born and raised in Minnesota and has had an affinity for TV and film nearly as far back as he can remember. He may have been drawn to it by his preoccupation with entertainment. Taking after his father, Kevin, Zachary embraced the use of humor at a young age, often creating problems in class due to being more interested in entertaining his classmates than learning—though he never officially earned the title of “class clown.”
Zachary participated in theater at Cottage Grove Junior High but soon dropped the hobby due to his self-described “lack of acting ability” and his interest in JROTC, where he was labelled a nerd but embraced it with his ROTC comrades. He graduated from Park High School in 2006 and did a stint at Inver Hills Community College, majoring in criminal justice due to foolishly thinking he wanted to be a probation officer. However, it was at Inver Hills that his writing ability was first given any acknowledgment. Zachary soon after transferred to the University of Wisconsin—River Falls, majored in English, and graduated in 2012.
Today, Zachary is an aspiring writer and editor whose dream job is to be a film or television critic. He is an active blogger and posts often on social media, where you can sometimes find him creating misunderstandings with some of Hollywood’s possibly-famous directors.
