Anissa’s geek interests began in 1994, when she caught Doctor Who airing on Sunday nights on her local PBS channel. One glimpse of Peter Davison’s silky blond locks, not to mention his fantastic space-and-time-traveling blue box, was enough to ensure her future as a geeky goner. She spent the next few years negotiating late bedtimes on a school night to continue to enjoy the time lord’s adventures.
Since her early Whovian years, Anissa’s geekdom has expanded from TV to include books, video games, and movies. She also considers her interests in crafting of various types, cooking, and canning to be nothing short of geeky pursuits. She believes you can be a geek about anything that you pour yourself into.
