Born and raised in central Minnesota, Kellee Isle has been an enthusiastic geek since they were very young. Their love of sci fi, costumes, video games, comics, cartoons, and building things—from small electrical projects to chicken-coop infrastructure—has not waned in that time.
They graduated in 2006 with a BA in English writing as well as a passion for words arranged in particularly interesting ways and the power of storytelling to create transformative change. They use an inordinate amount of that passion posting in online spaces. After adventures in rural Montana and Illinois as a residential youth counselor and hobby farmer, Kellee returned to the state where their heart lies in 2018, excited to get involved in the community again.
In addition to the abovementioned loves, Kellee is also apt to get excited about obscure music, queer community and theory, mental health advocacy, cooking, and Viking Age historical re-creation, which they do in the Society for Creative Anachronism.
