Z. M. Thomas is a Minnesota indie comic-book writer and publisher for Trepidation Comics. He is known mostly for his satirical work—Bible 2, Joseph Smith in Space, and Abe the Aborted Fetus—as well as some more serious works, including Dead Reckoning and Sioux Falls.

When he isn’t busy scripting one of his awesome graphic novels, he is off saving the world from any number of perils without leaving the comfort of his own couch. Armed with only his DualShock 4, he is ready to face the next great threat to life as we know it, even if that threat is himself. (Having become a dark overlord ruler for Lordran and Drangleic, this evil mastermind has recently taken the city of Los Santos under his reign as well. After all, sometimes playing the hero can be overrated.)

His favorite game series is the Demon/Dark Souls franchise, as well as anything that can offer a strong narrative, including games like Uncharted and The Last of Us. Of course, he also has a special fondness for some of the worst gaming has to offer. To paraphrase Hugh Grant, “Sometimes you just want a greasy Duke Burger.” (That’s right, he liked Duke Nukem: Forever. Get over it.)
