It Came upon a Monday clear. The MNCS Holiday Implosion!

What: Theater & Comedy
When: Monday, December 26th at 7:30 p.m.
Where: 355 Monroe Street NE, Minneapolis, MN, 55413

The Monday Night Comedy Show is putting on a holiday extravaganza, with comedy, Sinter Klaus, presents for all attendees, and a seriously special door prize for one lucky attendee. There will be music, magic, and comedy from a handful of performers from Minnesota and beyond.

December Hard Monday

What: Meetup, Music
When: Monday, December 26th at 10:00 p.m.
Where: The Saloon

Hard Mondays is a weekly event at the Saloon with two resident DJs: DJ Nitrogen and DJ Noise, for a night of dark and industrial dance music. Drink specials all night, no cover, and Jean Bardot will be on stage all night. This is an 18+ event.

YogaQuest Continues: Doctor Who

What: Sport & Fitness
When: Tuesday, December 27th at 7:00 p.m.
Where: YQdio

Come and experience YogaQuest, a blend of yoga and fanfiction storytelling led by certified yoga instructors. Experience a yoga workout experience and a story at the same time. This week’s theme is Doctor Who.

GlowintheDark Sledding Party

What: Meetup, Sport & Fitness
When: Wednesday, December 28th at 5:00 p.m.
Where: Saint Paul Park

Light up a cold winter night in Saint Paul with creative glow-in-the-dark sleds. Prizes will be awarded for creativity. Sledding will take place on a public hill behind City Hall.

Wibbly Wobbly Wednesday: Who-Lidays

What: Meetup, Trivia
When: Wednesday, December 28th at 7:00 p.m.
Where: Driftwood Char Bar

Join your fellow Whovians and trivia fanatics for Minnesota’s only regular Doctor Who trivia, from the creators of TC Trek Trivia, at the Driftwood Char Bar on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. This is an all-ages event with no cover, so expect seats to go quickly.

New Comic Book Day with Eliot Rahal and Grace Thomas

What: Meetup, Comics, Comedy
When: Wednesday, December 28th at 8:00 p.m.
Where: Day Block Brewing

Day Block Brewing presents New Comic Book Day, a weekly event hosted by Eliot Rahal and Grace Thomas. Enjoy new comic books and some of the best local and regional comedians. This is a free 21+ event. The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund will receive all profits from donations and a percentage of bar sales.

Crafty Geek/Make It Sew

What: Meetup, Crafting
When: Thursday, December 29th at 7:00 p.m.
Where: Waterbury Center

The Geek Partnership Society’s Crafty Geek club and its sub-club Make It Sew meet Thursday evenings at the Waterbury Center and invite you to “bring your crafty stuff to do” or to “hang out and work with the crafty stuff we have here!”

Weekly Comics Chat

What: Meetup, Comics
When: Thursday, December 29th at 7:00 p.m.
Where: Kitty Cat Klub

The Girls Only Comic Club hosts a Weekly Comics Chat on Thursday nights at the Kitty Cat Klub, where there will be “Coffee! Comics! Waffles! Talking!” Additional information about this event is posted on the Girls Only Comic Club’s Facebook group. Individuals interested in attending are encouraged to join.

Brickmania Toyworks

What: Toys and Games, Crafting
When: Saturday, December 31st at 10:00 a.m.
Where: Brickmania

December 31st marks the final day that Brickmania Toyworks will be open in 2016, until it reopens in December 2017. Come and marvel at impressively geeky works of brick art while you still have a chance.

A BIG EPIC New Year’s Eve

What: Meetup
When: Saturday, December 31st at 5:00 p.m.
Where: Lebanon Hills Regional Park

Come on down for a big, family friendly New Year’s Eve dance party at Lebanon Hills Regional Park. Tickets are $10.00 at the door, but children under seven get in free. In addition to hip-hop DJs, enjoy storytelling, ice skating, and snowshoeing.

New Year’s Eve at the Museum

What: Meetup
When: Saturday, December 31st at 6:00 p.m.
Where: Twin Cities Model Railroad Museum

Come on down and see elaborate model train setups and hear the music of Jim Malone. No advance registration is required, but there is a small entry fee payable at the door. Parking is free.

A Gothic New Year’s Eve

What: Meetup, Dancing
When: Saturday, December 31st at 9:00 p.m.
Where: Ground Zero

A dark celebration to end what many have described as a dark year. Dancing to dark beats in a dark atmosphere, with two-for-one drink specials from 9–10 p.m.

Game-A-Thon 2017

What: Meetup, Gaming
When: Sunday, January 1st at 10:00 a.m.
Where: Buffalo Community Center

Ring in the New Year by gaming with friends, new and old, in Buffalo. Free registration, door prizes, and a variety of games, including miniatures, board games, and role-playing games.
