A New Bookstore in Wayzata Is Focusing on Science
The Twin Cities area has a new bookstore to add to the list. Owner Rima Parikh has opened the Thinking Spot in Wayzata in the hopes of helping promote science to a larger community, as she recently explained in an interview with Eden Prairie Local News. Catering to both adults and children, the Thinking Spot has a variety of science books and gifts to appeal to anyone at any age and will host in-person events to discuss various topics in science. Coming up on Saturday, February 5, is an appearance by math teacher Ben Orlin, author of Math with Bad Drawings (registration required). There is also an online store for those who are looking to stay home while still supporting the local bookstore community.
The Thinking Spot is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday and is located off Highway 101 in Wayzata. You can find more information, including event listings, on the store’s website and Facebook page.
