K. N. HamannContributor (Domestic Geekdom)

K. N. Hamann is a multitier geek with a deep and abiding love of video games, books, and biology. She grew up attending Star Trek and Star Wars conventions with her equally geeky father and read nearly all the books in the YA section of her small suburban library. Once she progressed beyond toddler level in her motor skills, she also discovered the joys of art and making things, very quickly embarking on the age-old pastime of fan art. The less said about her Redwall and Tortall OCs, the better.

Though she focused her higher education on biology, and the teaching of said biology, her love of artistic creation never waned. Not content with the simple pencil-and-crayon drawings of her youth, she branched out into a rather distressing number of art and craft mediums; if there’s a medium she hasn’t dabbled in, it’s a fair bet that she’s been eyeballing it and calculating how to fit it in her budget. Whatever the material or the method, however, her artistic endeavors all share the same characteristic of being geekified to reflect her fandom passions or scientific curiosity.

When she’s not cross-stitching video-game sprites onto dish towels or creating steampunk earrings, you can find K. N. Hamann photographing fungi by the side of the road or scribbling book reviews on her hobby blog, Bookshelf Babbles.
