Learn about World War II at the Stearns History Museum’s Living History Weekend
Most of us only know about World War II through history classes, movies, and TV shows. The Stearns History Museum will give you a more hands-on experience of what life was like during the war through their fourth annual World War II Living History weekend.

“At War & At Home: The World War II Experience” is a two-day event on July 8 and 9, held at the Stearns History Museum in St. Cloud. The grounds of the museum will be filled with exhibits and displays describing life in the US and life on the front lines during the war. This year the experience will focus on the liberation of Europe in 1945.
There will be vintage military vehicles on display and examples of field encampments, along with reenactors to help explain how soldiers and civilians lived and worked. You can also take part in trivia challenges, scavenger hunts, and other family-friendly activities. And on Saturday evening, there will be a swing dance with live music!
You can find more information and preregister to attend this living history weekend at the Stearns History Museum website. The event is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, and from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 9. The swing dance is on Saturday evening at the nearby Whitney Senior Center, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Admission to the event is $10 ($5 for members of the museum), and admission to the dance is $10.
