Joshua Anderson is a social gamer, but he didn’t start out that way. Though he had a childhood fixation with video games, during high school and college he began to explore collectible card games through the local venue Outpost 2000 and Beyond, where he met his wife, Jessi. Eventually he discovered Fantasy Flight Games, the Roseville-based publisher of many successful card and board games as well as a growing lineup of role-playing games based on popular universes like Star Wars and Warhammer 40,000.

He now enjoys tabletop games of all varieties, from collectible card games like Magic: The Gathering to complex board games like Star Wars: Rebellion. Due to his background, he embraces these games for the social atmosphere they can facilitate, breaking down the walls of isolation that many gamers find upon meeting new people. He firmly believes coming together through gaming is an excellent way to build and maintain lasting friendships like the one he shares with Jessi and many of his other close friends.

Joshua is always eager to find new playgroups to join and new players to come to his table and battle for the Iron Throne in A Game of Thrones: The Card Game or discover the next anime smash hit in Channel A: The Anime Pitch Party Game. He lives in Forest Lake with his wife, Jessi, and their mischief of rats.
